Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Youth Sports Coach and inspire young athletes to develop their skills, teamwork, and confidence through engaging sports activities. In this energetic role, you will lead youth sports programs, foster a positive environment for children of all skill levels, and promote healthy physical activity. Your passion for sports and dedication to teaching will help shape the next generation of active, confident individuals. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while honing your coaching and leadership skills. Duties Plan and deliver age-appropriate sports sessions across various disciplines such as basketball, flag football, cheerleading, climbing, martial arts, swimming, and physical education. Foster a fun, inclusive environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship among children. Implement behavior management strategies to ensure safety and positive conduct during activities. Provide instruction on fundamental skills, techniques, and rules of different sports while adapting to individual needs. Monitor participants' progress and provide constructive feedback to promote improvement. Ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently, including lifeguard responsibilities when applicable. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and participation. Experience Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education to children or youth is highly preferred. Lifeguard experience is advantageous for roles involving swimming or water-based activities. Experience working with children in childcare settings or educational environments demonstrates your ability to manage behavior effectively. Familiarity with health clubs or gym environments can be beneficial for understanding fitness fundamentals. Strong background in sports like basketball or cheerleading supports versatile coaching capabilities. Proven ability to motivate young learners, manage group dynamics, and foster a safe, engaging atmosphere is essential.
