Responsibilities Lead engaging swimming lessons tailored to various skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers Ensure all participants adhere to safety guidelines and water safety protocols at all times Provide clear, constructive feedback to help students improve their technique and confidence in the water Maintain a clean, organized, and safe swimming environment by inspecting equipment and facilities regularly Collaborate with other staff members to plan lesson plans that incorporate fun activities while promoting skill development Monitor student behavior, manage group dynamics, and foster a positive atmosphere conducive to learning Stay current on water safety standards, CPR/First Aid certifications, and industry best practices Skills Prior experience as a Lifeguard or in water safety supervision is highly desirable Strong background in sports coaching, teaching, or physical education instruction Knowledge of martial arts such as Karate or Judo enhances ability to teach discipline and focus Proficiency in swimming techniques across different strokes and comfort in the water Experience working with children or students in educational or childcare settings Ability to manage behavior effectively and create an inclusive environment for diverse learners Familiarity with health club or gym environments is a plus for understanding fitness-based instruction Excellent communication skills combined with enthusiasm for teaching physical activities like basketball, cheerleading, climbing, or gymnastics This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about health, fitness, and education who want to make waves in their community.
