AQUATICS PROGRAMS & OPERATIONS
- The Herndon Aquatic Club is seeking part-time assistant swim coaches for the Town of Herndon's competitive swim team. HAC is a USA Swimming club serving residents of the Town of Herndon and the surrounding community. Coaches will work with athletes ages 18 and under to improve technique, increase speed, and be prepared to compete at various levels.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Design and implement plans for age group practices. Create and maintain an atmosphere of growth, positivity and success for every swimmer. Communicate with parents concerning their individual swimmer. Data entry for the groups assigned. Attend swim meets as assigned. Attend regularly scheduled meetings and team social events. Attend recruitment events as assigned. Maintain active membership with USA Swimming. Complete assignments from the head coach.
Requirements:
Experience as a competitive youth swim coach Competitive swim background Current in USA Swimming required coach certifications
Certifications:
CPR/First-Aid Safety Training for Swim Coaches Lifeguard Certification preferred
Hours:
Varies on early morning, evening, and weekend hours.

Work Location:
Herndon Community Center; 814 Ferndale Avenue, Herndon, VA 20170 Due to the nature of a government providing services to the public all duties of this position are required to be fulfilled at the designated worksite in the town. No remote work is available.
