Job Description
ARE YOU A NATURAL TEACHER, COACH, AND MOTIVATOR?
You live for that "aha" moment. You light up when someone finally gets it, when confidence replaces frustration and a person realizes they're more capable than they thought. Whether you've found that joy in a classroom, at a kitchen table, or coaching a team, you have a gift for bringing out the best in people. If that's you, we'd love to meet you. LearningRx Staunton-Harrisonburg is looking for a Cognitive Training Coach to join our growing team, working one-on-one with clients of all ages (ages 5 to 95!) to strengthen the core brain skills behind thinking, learning, and remembering. This is not tutoring. We don't review homework. We train the brain itself. What you'll actually do You'll work one-on-one with clients across a wide range of ages and backgrounds (kids who struggle in school, adults managing cognitive changes, and everyone in between). Sessions are fast-paced, research-based, and genuinely fun. You'll also communicate regularly with parents and family members, track each client's progress toward their training goals, and stay organized across your caseload. This is a hybrid role. Roughly half your sessions will be conducted virtually, and half will take place in person at our Staunton or Harrisonburg centers. Flexible work, real income Your schedule is built around clients, not a fixed number of hours. Coaches typically carry between 3 and 10 clients at a time. You choose the caseload that fits your life, and your income grows with it. We're looking for coaches who can make themselves available Monday through Friday, 12:00-7:00pm (highly preferred), and Saturday 10:00am-3:00pm since that's when most clients schedule their sessions. Each client typically works with their trainer a minimum of 3 times a week. We'll work with you to build a schedule that fits your life. What makes this role special Work with a wonderfully diverse mix of clients — ages 5 to 95 50/50 blend of remote and in-center sessions Client-based pay — carry 3 to 10 clients on a schedule that works for you Paid, comprehensive training — no prior experience required Fast-moving, interactive sessions (not a typical desk job) Real advancement opportunities as you grow with us Employee discount & professional development support Who we're looking for Bachelor's degree (required) Lives in the Shenandoah Valley area Warm, coach-like communicator — great with clients AND parents Detail-oriented and organized across multiple clients Curious, tech-savvy, and quick to learn new tools and programs Strong reading and spelling skills Reliable computer, internet, and webcam/headset for remote sessions Available Mon-Fri, 12:00-7:00pm (highly preferred), Saturdays 10:00am-3:00pm LearningRx isn't just about making school easier, it makes life easier. If you're ready to do meaningful work with real flexibility, we'd love to hear from you.
