Girls Gymnastics Team Coach- Xcel

Champions Westlake is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Team Gymnastics Coaches for our USAG Xcel Program athletes. As a Team Gymnastics Coach, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting athletes as they develop their gymnastics skills, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship. We are committed to fostering a positive and safe environment where every child can thrive and become a Champion.

Responsibilities:

Assist the head coach in training and preparing USAG Xcel Program athletes for competitions, events, and meets. Create and deliver effective coaching sessions that focus on skill development, technique, and overall physical fitness. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages athletes' personal growth, skill enhancement, and teamwork. Communicate clearly and effectively with athletes, parents, coaches, and other stakeholders. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to athletes, helping them improve and reach their full potential. Uphold the Champions philosophy that "Every Child is a Champion!" and integrate this philosophy into coaching strategies. Attend all required meets and events to support and guide athletes during competitions, as necessary Maintain a strong understanding of USAG gymnastics levels and requirements, adapting coaching strategies accordingly. Adhere to the established coaching schedule and fulfill assigned coaching duties.

Requirements:

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups, including athletes, coaches, parents, and others. Self-motivated, creative, and capable of delivering constructive criticism to aid in athletes' development. Passion for gymnastics and a commitment to helping athletes achieve success on and off the podium. Familiarity with USAG gymnastics levels and requirements (Xcel experience preferred, but not required). Ability to work well within a team environment, collaborating with fellow coaches and staff members. Positive attitude, adaptability, and a dedication to creating a safe and enjoyable training environment for athletes. Flexibility to work a part-time schedule (15-25 hours per week) with opportunities for full-time hours.

Additional Opportunities:

Full-time positions available for candidates interested in coaching recreational classes. Potential for additional income through coaching recreational classes, camps, private lessons, and birthday parties.

Work Environment:

On-site coaching is required; remote work is not available.
