Full-Time Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach•Athletics Allendale, MI Full Time R104599 Join the 18-time Learfield Director's Cup Winning Laker Athletics Department anchored in the relentless pursuit of greatness. The Assistant Women's Lacrosse coach is responsible for all phases of the program including organization and administration, quality student-athlete recruitment, fiscal management, viable fundraising, public relations and on the field coaching along with other duties as assigned by the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach. Salary & Benefits $45,000•$50,000, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, dental, life insurance, generous retirement contributions, wellness resources and tuition waiver effective on start of hire. Primary Duties Instruct and lead a positional group on the women's lacrosse team in their skill development, team strategies, and scouting. Assist in the recruitment of student-athletes including evaluating at tournaments, communication to recruits, and the planning in official and unofficial visits. Assist in the creation of team activities including team bonding events, team leadership workshops, and community service. Camp/Clinic Coordinator Coordinate with GVSU support staff including facilities, academic advisors, strength and conditioning coaches, and exercise science staff. Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelor's degree Candidate to have successful lacrosse coaching experience at the club, high school, or collegiate level. Thorough understanding of the NCAA rules and regulations. Candidate must have a strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes and NCAA compliance. Excellent communication, organizational and computer skills. This position requires driving a company/university vehicle•valid driver's license is required with an acceptable driving record.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
Master's degree Successful knowledge and experience recruiting high level student-athletes. Experience on collegiate level lacrosse staff. Experience in coaching offensive concepts and skills. Experience in developing team culture and curriculum. Working Conditions Normal office environment. Team and recruiting travel is required.
