Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Recreational & Preschool Gymnastics Coach is responsible for creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for young athletes ages walking-12 years old. This role focuses on introducing and developing fundamental gymnastics skills while building confidence, coordination, and a love for movement through structured, age-appropriate instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead recreational and preschool gymnastics classes using structured lesson plans and curriculum Teach fundamental skills including rolls, handstands, cartwheels, basic tumbling, and introductory apparatus work Create a fun, energetic, and positive class environment that keeps young athletes engaged Use age-appropriate coaching techniques, including games, obstacle courses, and creative movement for preschool classes Ensure the safety of all participants through active supervision and proper spotting Manage class behavior with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement Set up and break down equipment before and after classes Communicate with parents regarding athlete progress, class participation, and any concerns Assist with events such as camps, playtimes, evaluations, and gym activities as needed
Qualifications:
Experience working with children (especially ages 2-10) preferred Basic knowledge of gymnastics skills and progressions (training provided if needed) Energetic, patient, and enthusiastic personality Ability to lead groups while keeping a fun and structured environment Strong communication and classroom management skills Dependable and team-oriented Preferred Certifications (or willingness to obtain): CPR/First Aid Certification SafeSport Training Background Check clearance
Work Environment:
High-energy, active setting with constant movement Requires standing, bending, spotting, and interacting with young children Evening and weekend availability may be required Key Traits for

Pay:
$10.00 - $15.00 per hour
