D1 East Cooper is looking for a Athletic Training Coach - someone with high energy and a team-focused mentality - to deliver the highest quality group and individual training availble. Our Coaches provide an elite-level training experience, typically only available to world-class collegiate and professional athletes in a facility built for the best progress and optimized outcomes. Our 5-Star Training System utilizes science-backed training and programming to develop high-level speed, agility, strength, and conditioning. Role & Vision D1 Coaches implement and instill the D1 training philosophy into every workout. They exhibit the ability to adapt and customize programs in the workouts in order to tailor them to our athletes. They take a personal stake in the lives of our athletes, maintaining open communication and monitoring progress toward their goals. They also have a chance to build a personal training book that can include college and professional athletes. D1 Coaches are a part of the best training environment in the industry and are integral to the success of D1 as it continues its rapid growth
Core Competencies & Responsibilities:
Fulfill daily/weekly coaching duties as assigned by the General Manager Provide a consistent and high-quality training experience for all D1 Athletes Have in-depth knowledge of the D1 Mission and all Training offerings Assist in growth and maintenance of membership base by providing high-level training Be a D1 Training Ambassador by leading on and off-site training Contribute to brand awareness through community events, seasonal programs, camps, and clinics Contribute to the creation of daily/weekly social media content First-Aid/CPR/AED Certification •NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Preferred Strength & Conditioning coaching experience Availability of at least 10 hours per week
Ideal Skills/Tools/Competencies/Experience :
Nationally recognized & accredited certification:
CSCS / NASM / ACE / ACSM
Experience in 1on1, small group, and team training settings Proficiency in performing and coaching the Olympic Lifts Understanding of Nutrition and how it relates to training Knowledge of Mindbody software Possess conflict resolution skills and the ability to share constructive feedback with Athletes and parents Athletic background Degree from an accredited university (Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, or related field) Familiar with the local community; existing relationships with schools, coaches, and sports teams Coach of athletic team Motivational, inspirational approach Self-motivated, entrepreneurial Team player Group or team training experience Strong communicator and leader Highly energetic with a "can do" attitude Passionate about changing lives, impacting the community and providing unmatched experiences Effective time management and follow through skills Excellent communication skills
