Immediately Job Description Norris Middle School is seeking a motivated, student-centered individual to serve as Head Girls Basketball Coach for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This position provides an opportunity to continue a strong athletic tradition while developing student-athletes both on and off the court. Norris Middle School is proud to be a member of the TSSAA Middle School Division, and we are committed to upholding the standards and expectations that come with that affiliation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to fostering a positive team culture, promoting sportsmanship, and developing fundamental skills that prepare students for success at the next level. Responsibilities include: Organizing and leading all aspects of the girls basketball program (tryouts, practices, games, and offseason development) Promoting academic accountability and positive behavior among student-athletes Communicating effectively with students, parents, and school staff Ensuring compliance with all TSSAA/TMSAA and Anderson County Schools guidelines Supervising student-athletes during all team-related activities

Qualifications:

Previous coaching experience preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to build relationships with middle school students and families Commitment to maintaining a safe, structured, and positive environment
