Description/Notes:
Direct, coordinate, and manage the overall athletic program at Channel High School in alignment with
Channel ISD Athletic Department expectations, district goals, and UIL regulations. Provide leadership,
supervision, and support for all campus athletic programs while serving as Head Football Coach responsible
for the development, implementation, and oversight of aprehensive grades 7-12 football program.
The Campus Athletic Coordinator/Head Football Coach will foster a student-centered culture focused on
academic achievement, character development, sportsmanship,petitive excellence, leadership, andmunity engagement while ensuring alignment throughout the district's feeder pattern. Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
Master's degree preferred
Administrative Experience preferred
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification Special Knowledge/Skills:
Thorough knowledge of UIL rules, regulations, andpliance procedures
Knowledge of athletic administration, coaching techniques, scheduling, budgeting, and event management
Ability to develop and implement aprehensive grade 7-12 athletic philosophy and football program
Strong leadership, organizational,munication, interpersonal, and public relations skills
Ability to supervise and evaluate coaching staff and athletic personnel
Ability to effectivelymunicate with students, parents, staff, administrators,munity members, media, and booster organizations
Knowledge of NCAA eligibility requirements and recruiting practices
Ability to analyze data, monitor program effectiveness, and implement continuous improvement practices
Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, andposure in high-pressure environments Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years successful teaching and coaching experience preferred
Successful experience as a high school coordinator and/or head football coach preferred
Demonstrated success in program development, staff leadership, student-athlete development, andmunity engagement Proven ability to build and sustain a positive athletic culture emphasizing character, accountability, discipline, andpetitive excellence Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Athletic Program Leadership & Administration
1. Coordinate and administer the Channel High School athletic program in accordance with Channel ISD Athletic Department expectations, district policies, and UIL regulations.
2. Provide leadership and oversight for all boys and girls athletic programs assigned to the campus.
3. Collaborate with the Director of Athletics and campus principal regarding staffing, scheduling, program development, and operational needs.
4. Make rmendations regarding hiring, assignments, retention, and evaluation of athletic personnel.
5. Supervise and evaluate assistant coaches, athletic trainers, and athletic support staff.
6. Coordinate all campus athletic schedules and ensure approval through the athletic department prior to public release.
7. Oversee campus athletic facilities, including scheduling, maintenance, safety, security, and
improvements.
8. Assist with and coordinate use of athletic facilities with district departments andmunity groups as appropriate.
9. Maintainplete and accurate inventories of athletic equipment, uniforms, and fixed assets.
10. Participate in budget planning and oversee athletic purchasing in accordance with district procedures and budget limitations.
11. Ensure all purchase requests, fundraising activities, booster club, and financial transactionsply with district and UIL guidelines.
12. Assist with management and supervision of all UIL athletic events hosted on campus.
13. Assist with and coordinate game management operations including officials, security, event staff, medical coverage, ticketing, and facility preparation.
14. Develop and implement procedures for emergency management, student safety, and facility security
15. Ensure adherence to district chain ofmand andmunication expectations. Football Program Oversight (Grades 7-12)
16. Direct and oversee all aspects of the grades 7-12 football program.
17. Develop and implement a vertically aligned football philosophy, including offensive and defensive systems, terminology, techniques, strength and conditioning expectations, and skill development.
18. Work collaboratively with junior high coaches to ensure consistency and alignment throughout the feeder pattern.
19. Coordinate staff assignments and responsibilities within the football program.
20. Develop structured practice plans, offseason programming, game preparation procedures, and player development systems.
21. Organize and oversee all football practices, contests, camps, clinics, and offseason activities.
22. Establish clear expectations for assistant coaches regarding professionalism, instruction,munication, and student management.
23. Develop and maintain procedures for student-athlete recruitment, retention, and transition from junior high to high school athletics.
24. Monitor and promote academic success, attendance, discipline, and eligibility of football student-athletes year-round.
25. Coordinate football equipment purchasing, inventory, issuance, maintenance, and collection.
26. Secure game officials and coordinate event operations for football contests in collaboration with the athletic department.
27. Ensure all student-athletes receive medical clearance prior to participation.
28. Report injuries and safety concerns to athletic trainers and administration in a timely manner.
29. Establish and maintain positive public relations for the football program and Channel ISD Athletics. Student Development & Program Culture
30. Promote and model high standards of sportsmanship, integrity, professionalism, discipline, and character development.
31. Foster a positive and inclusive culture that values teamwork, accountability, leadership, and personal growth.
32. Encourage and support multi-sport participation and overall student involvement.
33. Work collaboratively with campus staff to support the educational development of student-athletes.
34. Monitor student eligibility and enforce all extracurricular participation standards.
35. Apply and enforce student discipline in accordance with district policies and the Student Code of Conduct.
36. Encourage leadership development and responsible citizenship among student-athletes.
37. Provide guidance to students and families regarding NCAA eligibility and recruiting requirements. Communication & Community Relations
38. Establish and maintain effectivemunication with students, parents, staff, administration, booster clubs, media, andmunity stakeholders.
39. Conduct parent meetings, coaching meetings, and program evaluations regularly.
40. Support and guide booster club operations inpliance with UIL and district guidelines.
41. Collaborate withmunity organizations to strengthen support for Channel ISD Athletics.
42. Coordinate publicity andmunication regarding athletic aplishments, schedules, and program information.
43. Represent Channel ISD Athletics in a professional manner at district,munity, and professional
events. Compliance & Professional Responsibilities
44. Ensurepliance with all UIL, district, state, and federal policies and regulations.
45. Develop and implement procedures to educate athletes, staff, parents, and booster organizations regarding UILpliance expectations.
46. Attend athletic department meetings, professional development opportunities, clinics, and required district trainings.
47. Stay current on trends, rules changes, safety standards, and best practices in athletic administration and coaching.
48. Maintain confidentiality of student and employee information in accordance with FERPA and district expectations.
49. Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Athletics or campus administration consistent with the position. Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise and evaluate assistant coaches, athletic trainers, and assigned athletic personnel.
Coordinate and oversee game workers, event staff, and student athletic assistants.
Provide leadership and direction for the campus athletic department and football program. Additional Duties
Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics, campus principal, or designee consistent with the scope of this position.

Ability to lift and carry athletic equipment with assistance when necessary. Salary Range:
$70,740 - $81,740 plus athletic coordinator and head coach stipend
