Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Track & Field Coach from November through April, where you will inspire and develop student-athletes in a vibrant, energetic environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead, motivate, and cultivate athletic talent while fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. As a key member of our sports program, you will create engaging training sessions, promote healthy competition, and support students' physical and personal growth throughout the season. Duties Design and implement comprehensive training plans for track and field athletes, focusing on technique, strength, endurance, and overall performance. Lead practice sessions that emphasize proper form, safety protocols, and skill development across various track and field events such as sprints, jumps, throws, and distance running. Monitor athlete progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to enhance individual performance. Foster a positive team environment by encouraging sportsmanship, teamwork, and respectful behavior among all participants. Ensure all training activities adhere to safety standards; conduct equipment checks and maintain a safe practice environment. Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school staff regarding schedules, progress updates, and event preparations. Support event organization by preparing athletes for competitions and assisting with logistics during meets. Experience Prior coaching experience in track & field or related sports such as basketball, cheerleading, or martial arts is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work with children or students in a teaching or coaching capacity. Knowledge of sports coaching techniques combined with experience in physical education instruction. Familiarity with behavior management strategies to motivate students and maintain discipline during practices and competitions.
