Job Description
About Us Soccer Pups is a premier youth soccer training facility dedicated to fostering a love of soccer in children aged 3 and up. Our mission is to provide a fun, safe, and educational environment where young athletes can develop their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game. Position Overview We are looking for an enthusiastic Trainer to support the Lead Trainer in delivering high-quality training sessions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for soccer and enjoy working with young children in a team-oriented environment. This role will focus on assisting with player development, ensuring safety, and fostering a positive training atmosphere. Key Responsibilities Training Support Assist the Lead Trainer in organizing and executing training sessions, including warm-ups, games, drills, and scrimmages. Help maintain smooth transitions between activities to keep players engaged. Provide individual attention to players needing additional guidance or support. Player Supervision Ensure players are participating safely and adhering to instructions during activities. Monitor player interactions to promote sportsmanship and teamwork. Equipment Management Set up and break down equipment for training sessions. Ensure all equipment is accounted for and in good condition. Collaboration Communicate effectively with the Lead Coach and other team members to ensure a cohesive training environment. Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance the overall training program. Customer Interaction Greet parents and guardians before and after sessions, ensuring a welcoming and professional demeanor. Assist in addressing basic questions or directing concerns to the Lead Trainer or Facility Manager. Qualifications Experience Prior experience playing soccer or participating in youth sports is preferred. Experience working with children is highly desirable. Skills Patience and a positive attitude when working with young players. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow directions and adapt to the dynamic needs of the session. Organizational skills for managing equipment and session logistics. Attributes Dependable, punctual, and proactive. Passionate about youth development and creating a fun learning environment.
