Required Qualifications:
Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position. Candidate should possess a strong commitment and ability to motivate, teach, counsel, and recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of coaching D1 gymnastics; comprehensive understanding of safety standards
Proven ability to mentor, inspire, and develop student athletes; Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with diverse population
Knowledge of conference, NCAA D1 rules, academic standards, requirements, and policies of the university
Work with administration to provide program support; advocate for resources necessary to recruit, train, and develop student-athletes at the highest level.
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications Excellent team leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate, build consensus, evaluate performance, and facilitate training and professional development.

Job Description Texas State University is seeking applications for the position of Head Coach for our newly launched NCAA Division 1 Women's Gymnastics program.
Job Duties Manage all aspects of the Gymnastics program including budget, recruiting, team travel, equipment, and community service.
Run a fully compliant program in accordance with NCAA, Pac-12 Conference, and Texas State University rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Position the program to compete for championships; establish a culture of excellence in all aspects of the student-athlete experience.
Preserve and protect the safety, health, and well-being of student-athletes; be dedicated to their academic success, personal development, and preparation for life beyond collegiate athletics.
Build and maintain relationships with boosters, alumni, parents of current and prospective student-athletes, and those who have previously contributed to the program. Rally support from the university and surrounding communities; develop relationships and collaborate with campus and community partners.
Fulfill all media responsibilities including interviews and coach's show commitments; attend departmental, head coaches', and conference meetings as required.
