Women's Assistant Volleyball Coach Salary $40,000.00 Annually Location Wharton, TX Job Type Support Staff Full Time Job Number 2604 S 022 Department President's Area Division Athletics Opening Date 04/17/2026 Closing Date 5/4/2026 10:00 AM Central Description Benefits Questions General Description This position will start August 3, 2026. This is a 10.5-month position scheduled from early August through mid-June. The Assistant Volleyball Coach is charged with assisting the Head Volleyball Coach in coaching the Wharton County Junior College (WCJC) Volleyball team and aiding with the administration of all aspects of the Volleyball program. In addition, the Assistant Coach is responsible for the facility, weight room, and locker room, The position reports to the Women's Head Volleyball Coach. Requirements Associate's degree or four years of work-related experience in the areas of coaching, kinesiology, Volleyball, or other related areas. This position must have the ability to provide leadership and supervision to student athletes in a professional manner. This position requires the incumbent to understand the basic components of the admissions and registration process at the college. This position requires the ability to communicate with diverse student athletes and evaluate them in an objective and effective manner. The person in this position must have knowledge of the rules and regulations of the National Junior College Athletic Association and the Athletic Conference. The ability to use windows-based personal computer software applications for word processing, spreadsheets, and database maintenance is required. A criminal background check is also required.
