Part-time, hourly Swim Instructors at British Swim School (location) teach lessons to children and adults to become safe and happy swimmers, regardless of age or ability. Adherence to British Swim School teaching curriculum ensures that each student in our program learns water survival skills and then progresses to propulsion and stroke development in a fun and gentle environment. Roles and Responsibilities

• Report to and communicate directly with Aquatics Director
• Be correctly dressed in British Swim School uniform and prepared poolside at least 15 minutes before the start of your first lesson
• Conduct classes in a fun and gentle environment, following current teaching methods, policies and safety and emergency procedures as detailed in the British Swim School training manual and as directed by the Aquatics Director
• Attend staff meetings and ongoing training/coaching as requested by Aquatics Director
• Work a flexible schedule that may include holidays and weekends as required by business needs and as requested by management
• Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and stand in the water for up to 5 consecutive hours
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Aquatics Director/Owner Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Enthusiastic, assertive personality with strong relationship and customer service skills
• Effectively communicate with children, customers and employees
• Disciplined to follow schedules and enforce safety procedures as well as follow policies, teaching methods and procedures of British Swim School
• Ability to demonstrate swim strokes appropriately Qualifications
• Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid (current preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment)
• Successful completion of British Swim School Swim Instructor internal training
