Job Description

The Performance Level Head Coach is the heartbeat of Full Out Athletics' show team and recreational programming. This coach runs six classes per week spanning our mini and tiny athletes, our youth and senior show teams, tumbling, and flyer technique — and plays a key role in our seasonal showcases and the Lagoon competition each May.

~7.50 hours/week
WEEKLY CLASSES & HOURS
Blizzard Baddies (Senior Show Team) — 1.50 hrs/week Senior Tumbling (Level 1-2 for older athletes) — 1.00 hr/week Ice Queens (Youth Show Team) — 1.50 hrs/week Mini Tumbling (Ages 2-4, movement & beginner skills) — 1.00 hr/week Flyer Class (Technique, skills, balance, arms) — 1.00 hr/week Tiny Tremors (Mini Show Team) — 1.50 hrs/week Additional availability is required for winter and spring showcases, and for the first week of May for Lagoon (our seasonal competition). This is a role that requires flexibility around key seasonal events.
ABOUT THE PROGRAMS BLIZZARD BADDIES
Our Senior Show Team for older athletes has a strong performance focus. This team participates in winter and spring showcases and the Lagoon competition. The coach must be able to build choreography that suits the group's skill level while pushing them to bring genuine performance energy.
ICE QUEENS
Our Youth Show Team — a group of enthusiastic young athletes who compete at Lagoon and showcase in winter and spring events. Patience, creativity, and energy are key. The coach must connect well with youth athletes and their parents.
TINY TREMORS
The Mini Show Team — our youngest performing athletes. Expect big personalities in very small bodies. This group thrives with coaches who can make learning feel like play while laying a solid cheer foundation early.
MINI TUMBLING
Designed for 2-4 year olds learning tumbling and body movement basics. This class is less about skill output and more about engagement, body awareness, and a love of movement. Experience or comfort with very young children is a must.
SENIOR TUMBLING
Level 1-2 tumbling for our older athlete population. Focus on foundational skills, body position, and bridging toward handsprings and early tuck work. The coach should be able to safely spot and teach progressions.
FLYER CLASS A
dedicated class for athletes developing their flyer technique — body position, arm awareness, balance, and stunt skills. Flyer coaching experience or a strong flyer background is essential for this class.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Cheerleading experience — minimum high school/school cheer required Flyer experience and/or flyer coaching ability — this is essential for the Flyer Class Comfortable working with very young children (Mini Tumbling, Tiny Tremors) — patience and play-based energy required Comfortable working with youth and young adults (Ice Queens, Senior Tumbling) Tumbling technique knowledge sufficient to teach and correct Level 1-2 skills safely Availability for winter and spring showcase weekends Available the first week of May for the Lagoon competition Reliable, warm, and energetic — show teams run on coaching charisma as much as skill
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
All-star cheerleading background with stunt or flyer specialty Experience coaching toddler/early childhood programs Background in dance, gymnastics, or movement for young athletes CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to certify upon hire)
