Swim Instructor

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in swimming and physical education. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for educating students of all ages in swimming techniques, safety practices, and water confidence. Your role will involve creating a positive learning environment that fosters skill development and encourages a love for swimming. Duties Conduct swim lessons for individuals and groups, adapting instruction to meet the needs of each student. Teach various swimming techniques, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Implement behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment. Educate students on water safety rules and emergency procedures. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills. Collaborate with other instructors to develop lesson plans and ensure consistency in teaching methods. Maintain a clean and safe pool area, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Assist with organizing swim events or competitions as needed. Skills Strong background in sports coaching, particularly in swim instruction. Experience in teaching physical education or related fields. Proficient in behavior management techniques to effectively engage students. Knowledge of lifeguard practices and water safety protocols. Experience in childcare or working with children is highly desirable. Additional skills in related disciplines such as karate or judo can be beneficial.
