Lead recruiting efforts and outreach for prospective student-athletes in partnership with the Admissions Office.
Teaching Responsibilities:
Teach 1-2 sections of a core academic subject, elective, or physical education course based on qualifications and departmental needs. Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction aligned with departmental and school-wide expectations. Serve as an advisor to a small group of students, supporting their academic progress, personal development, and overall well-being. Participate fully in faculty meetings, professional development, and school life initiatives.
Residential Life:
Participate in dormitory supervision (typically 1-2 nights per week). Support residential programming and student life activities. Serve as a mentor and trusted adult presence within the boarding community.

Experience working in an independent school or residential setting is a plus. Ability to teach in an academic department (e.g., English, Math, History, Science, PE). Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. A commitment to building a positive and inclusive team culture. Willingness to engage fully in the academic and residential life of the school.

And you can tap into support from knowledgeable advisors with our insurance broker who help to ensure you select the best insurance option for your anticipated needs. Dental Insurance We offer dental coverage through Delta Dental on a voluntary basis in which the employee pays the premium. Health Savings Account (HSA) You may set up an HSA—a triple-tax-advantaged account—to pay for qualified healthcare, dental and vision expenses not covered by insurance, including copays and deductibles, that you may incur now or in the future. You can contribute funds to the account on a pre-tax basis through payroll deductions. Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) allow you to set aside pre-tax money to pay for eligible healthcare and dependent care expenses.

You decide how much to contribute to your FSA(s) each year during Open Enrollment based on your unique needs. It's not easy thinking about accidents and death, but if they happen, VES provides benefits to protect your financial resources. Life Insurance We offer full-time employees—at no cost to you—a life insurance policy in an amount equal to twice your annual wages. Income Protection in the Event of Disability Short-term disability is partial income replacement for a period of time if you are unable to work due to illness, injury or childbirth. Participation in this plan is optional and premiums are paid by the employee. Currently, the plan pays 60% of your salary or wages for up to six months after two weeks of leave for a qualified reason. We strongly urge employees to make the small investment in this important benefit. Long-term disability (LTD) starts when your short-term disability benefits end. LTD pays a percentage of your monthly earnings until you return to work or reach age 65. Your LTD is currently paid 100% by VES. The plan provides up to 60% of your base pay after a 180-day elimination period.
