Job Description

Join our dynamic athletic department as an Assistant Coach for Women's Volleyball! This exciting role offers the opportunity to inspire and develop student-athletes, fostering teamwork, discipline, and athletic excellence. As a vital member of our coaching staff, you will contribute to creating a positive, energetic environment that promotes growth both on and off the court. Your passion for sports and mentoring will help shape the next generation of volleyball players while supporting their academic and personal success. Assist the head coach in planning and executing practice sessions, drills, and game strategies to enhance team performance. Support student-athletes in developing technical skills, tactical understanding, and sportsmanship through engaging coaching methods. Monitor athlete behavior and implement effective behavior management techniques to maintain a respectful and focused team environment. Contribute to scouting reports, game preparations, and post-game analyses to improve team competitiveness. Promote a safe training environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including basic first aid when necessary. Foster positive relationships with students by providing mentorship, guidance, and encouragement both during practices and competitions. Assist with recruiting efforts by evaluating prospective athletes' skills and potential contributions to the team. Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably in volleyball or related team sports such as basketball or cheerleading. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels. Knowledge of physical education teaching methods, behavior management strategies, and athlete development principles. Lifeguard experience or certification is a plus, highlighting your commitment to safety awareness. Background in martial arts such as Karate, Judo, or climbing activities is advantageous for developing discipline and focus. Familiarity with sports like swimming or martial arts enhances your ability to incorporate diverse training techniques. Strong communication skills combined with a positive attitude to motivate athletes and collaborate with staff. Join us in empowering young women through sport!
