Immediately Job Description Woodstock High School is seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Track Coaches to support our high school track and field program for the upcoming season. These positions are ideal for individuals passionate about athletics, student development, and teamwork.
Position Summary:
Assistant coaches will work collaboratively with the head coach to help plan, organize, and implement a comprehensive track and field program. Responsibilities include supporting daily practices, assisting with meet preparation, mentoring student-athletes, and promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and conducting daily practices and training sessions Provide instruction in track and field events (sprints, distance, jumps, throws, or hurdles—based on experience) Supervise student-athletes during practices and competitions Support meet organization and logistics Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and athlete development Ensure a safe training environment and adherence to school policies
Qualifications:
Prior coaching or competitive track and field experience preferred Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families Availability for practices and meets (afternoons, some evenings, and occasional weekends) Must meet all school and state coaching certification requirements (or be willing to obtain)
Compensation:
Stipend based on experience and district guidelines.
