In this role, you will inspire young athletes (ages 3-14), develop their skills, and foster a positive team environment. Your leadership will promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and physical activity while ensuring a fun and safe experience for all participants. Duties Plan and execute engaging practices that teach fundamental flag football skills, including passing, catching, running, and defensive strategies Lead game day activities, providing clear instructions and motivating players to perform their best Foster a positive team environment by encouraging sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork among players of all skill levels Monitor player safety during practices and games, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and rules Manage team logistics such as attendance, equipment setup, and maintaining a safe playing environment Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding team updates, schedules, and player progress Incorporate fun drills and activities that promote physical activity, coordination, and confidence in young athletes Requirements Experience working with children in soccer coaching, physical education, or childcare settings. Proven ability in behavior management and creating inclusive, supportive environments. Knowledge of indoor activities is a plus. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate young athletes and manage group dynamics effectively. Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff. Ability to plan engaging practices that promote skill development, safety, and fun. Relevant certifications (e.g., coaching credentials, first aid and CPR) are advantageous.
