Job Description
JV BOYS' BASKETBALL COACH
@PORT ANGELES HIGH SCHOOL DESCRIPTION
Port Angeles High School is seeking a Boys Junior Varsity Basketball Coach for the winter season. The JV Coach will serve as the Junior Varsity Head Coach, working under the direction of the Boys Varsity Head Coach to support all aspects of the basketball program. In addition to the winter season, the successful candidate must be available to support summer basketball programming, including camps and tournaments throughout June and July , under the direction of the Head Coach. Qualifications Previous coaching or playing experience in basketball preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of basketball fundamentals, rules, and game strategy. Ability to plan and lead practices and games at the junior varsity level. Ability to teach and reinforce program systems and player development goals. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach and coaching staff. Must meet or be willing to obtain all WIAA coaching certification requirements. Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification, or ability to obtain prior to the season. Must be willing to complete all district-required safety training. Ability to maintain student confidentiality and follow district and school policies. Must be at least 21 years of age.Wages:
