Position Overview Ghost City Tours is seeking an experienced Trainer, Mentor, and Performance Coach to help develop and support our growing team of tour guides across multiple markets. This role is heavily focused on live performance coaching, storytelling development, guest engagement, confidence building, and maintaining high-quality tour experiences. The ideal candidate is someone who understands how to guide performers, manage personalities, provide constructive feedback, and help individuals grow into polished, engaging entertainers. Candidates with backgrounds in theater, directing, education, live entertainment, hospitality, tourism, or experiential events are strongly encouraged to apply. What You'll Do Train newly hired tour guides on storytelling, tour delivery, pacing, guest interaction, and operational expectations Conduct shadow tours, evaluations, auditions, and live coaching sessions Help guides improve stage presence, confidence, improvisation, timing, and crowd engagement Provide constructive feedback, accountability, and performance development plans Support consistency in tour quality, professionalism, and guest experience standards Assist with script updates, training materials, and educational programming Work closely with Operations leadership to identify coaching opportunities and performance concerns Mentor guides through ongoing development and continued performance improvement Foster a collaborative, supportive, organized, and creative team culture Qualifications Strong public speaking and interpersonal communication skills Experience in directing, coaching, teaching, training, or leadership roles Ability to motivate and manage different personality types Comfortable giving feedback in real-time, live environments Excellent organizational, scheduling, and communication skills Ability to adapt coaching methods to different learning styles Comfortable working evenings, weekends, holidays, and outdoor environments Reliable transportation and flexibility to support trainings as needed Preferred Background Theater, acting, directing, improv, or live performance experience Experience teaching or developing educational programs Hospitality, tourism, entertainment, or guest experience leadership Event management, production coordination, or artistic leadership experience Customer service and team development experience Tour guide or experiential entertainment background preferred Compensation Contract Position Flexible, as-needed scheduling based on hiring and training demand Competitive contract compensation Training sessions are typically expected to last approximately 2 hours per session Why Ghost City Tours?
