Build Confidence. Grow the Game. Spokane Ignite Volleyball Club is looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and positive coaches to join our growing coaching staff for the upcoming club season. We are currently hiring Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and a Floating Assistant Coach/Tournament Director to work with athletes ages 12-18. Whether you're an experienced coach or a former player looking to get involved in the sport, we'd love to hear from you. Position OverviewSeasonal Schedule Summer Responsibilities (Required) Club camps, open gyms, and tryouts throughout June and July Availability required for tryouts on July 25th and July 28th Club Season November 2026
  • April 2027 Practice Schedule Two practices per week Monday & Thursday or Monday & Wednesday Evening practices between 6:00 PM
  • 9:00 PM Practice locations primarily at Northwood and Highland Middle Schools in Spokane Tournament Schedule Approximately 2 tournaments per month (January-April) Saturdays, typically between 8:00 AM
  • 6:30 PM Limited regional travel may be required ResponsibilitiesCoaches Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate practices Teach volleyball fundamentals, game strategy, and teamwork Create a positive and competitive learning environment Mentor athletes both on and off the court Communicate effectively with players, parents, and club leadership Foster sportsmanship, confidence, accountability, and personal growth Floating Assistant Coach / Tournament Director Assist multiple teams throughout the season Support coaches during practices and tournaments Help coordinate tournament operations and event logistics Assist with scorekeeping, court setup, and facility management Serve as a site director for select Spokane Ignite tournaments Qualifications High level volleyball playing or volleyball coaching experience preferred Strong communication and leadership skills Positive attitude and passion for youth athletics Dependable, organized, and professional Ability to work well with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches Must be at least 21 years old by January 1, 2027 Background check required Why Coach With Spokane Ignite?
