Volleyball Head Coach

Arcadia School District is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced individual to serve as the Head Coach for the Girls Varsity Volleyball program for the Fall of 2026. The ideal candidate will be committed to developing a competitive and positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, academic achievement, and personal growth.

Volleyball Head Coach Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and supervise all practices, games, and team activities for the varsity program. Develop and implement a comprehensive volleyball program from offseason conditioning to in-season strategy. Teach fundamental and advanced volleyball skills, rules, and strategies. Foster a culture of discipline, hard work, accountability, and respect on and off the court. Maintain high standards of conduct and academic performance among student-athletes. Oversee and mentor assistant and lower-level (JV/C-Team/MS) coaching staff. Communicate effectively with players, parents, staff, and administration. Coordinate the use of facilities and equipment with the athletic department. Promote the volleyball program within the school and the broader community. Ensure compliance with all school, district, and state athletic regulations (e.g., WIAA) Encourage student participation and support multi-sport participation.

Volleyball Head Coach Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent Previous volleyball coaching experience (head or assistant level) CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain) Background check and required district clearances

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree (Education, Sports Management, or related field) Teaching certification or experience working in a school setting Experience coaching girls at the high school or collegiate level Knowledge of strength & conditioning, film analysis, and scouting Volleyball Head Coach - How to
