Position Summary:
Skyhawks Sports Academy is seeking passionate, self-motivated Youth Sports Coaches/Directors to lead engaging sports programs for children ages 5-14. In this role, you will teach fundamental sports skills while intentionally developing life skills such as teamwork, confidence, leadership, and perseverance through sports. Coaches/Directors work directly with participants in a fun, supportive, and structured environment, collaborate with fellow staff, manage daily program logistics, and ensure a high-quality experience for all families. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about youth development, organized, community-focused, and committed to creating a positive, inclusive sports experience that aligns with Skyhawks' mission and values.
Responsibilities:
Lead engaging drills and games using the Skyhawks curriculum. Teach fundamental sports skills and reinforce life skills like teamwork and leadership. Create a fun, supportive, and motivating environment for all participants. Manage equipment setup, breakdown, and overall program organization. Represent Skyhawks' mission and positively impact the local youth community. Directors will learn how to create lesson plans, taking attendance and manage all facets of a youth sports program.
Requirements:
Demonstrate genuine passion for sports and youth development. Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle to commute to program locations and haul equipment. Must successfully pass a background check. First-Aid and CPR certified (or willing to obtain certifications after hire). Must be able to attend training from June 3-5, in Minneapolis, MN.
Preferred:
Prior experience in coaching, teaching, or childcare.

Weekdays (Monday-Thursday) Mornings (8:30am-12:30pm) Afternoons (12:30pm-4pm) Work Location(s): In-person at local elementary and middle schools in Eau Claire.
