The Assistant Coach, Women's Lacrosse is responsible for supporting the Head Coach in the overall development and advancement of the program. Responsible for the instruction of players, individually or in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport. Schedule practices, team travel and team events. Cooperates with academic advisers to support the academic progress of the student-athlete Promotes the academic success of the student athletes. Assists Head Coach with events, donor relations and coordination of camps. Monitors sportsmanship and conduct of student/athletes on and off the court. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Provide individual instruction and skill development and training to student-athletes to provide individual growth and development of skills and lacrosse knowledge. Serve as on-court assistant coach during practices and games. Use video for individual student-athlete analysis and development, scouting of opponents and game plan development. 2. Identify, evaluate and attract talented student athletes that can be successful at Marquette. Conduct off-campus recruitment visits and host on-campus visits. 3. Assist Head Coach with duties as directed including with marketing, events and camps. Schedule practices, team travel and team events. Cooperate with academic advisers to support the academic progress of the student-athlete. 4. Guides the work of student employees, interns, and volunteers. Responsible for own P-card transactions and expense reports. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor's degree Minimum of 3 years of related work experience and 3 years of playing lacrosse required Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Previous experience playing or working in Division 1 lacrosse and playing professional preferred.
