The Assistant Coach, Women's Soccer will be responsible for critical functions within the program, especially as it relates to the development of the student-athletes that results in success of the program. This individual will be responsible for training techniques, drills and other aspects related to individual player development. In addition, this position will serve as an assistant coach on the staff performing coaching duties, identifying and recruiting potential student-athletes, as well as use of video for individual student-athlete analysis and development, scouting of opponents and game plan development. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Provide individual instruction and skill development and training to student-athletes to provide individual growth and development of skills and knowledge. 2. Assist in the evaluation and recruitment of prospective student-athletes and participate in on-campus recruit visit activities. Will conduct limited off-campus recruitment visits. 3. Serve as assistant coach during practices and games. Use video for individual student-athlete analysis and development, scouting of opponents and game plan development. 4. Assist Head Coach with duties as directed including with marketing, events and camps. Schedule practices, team travel and team events. May be responsible for coordination of student employees, interns, and volunteers Cooperates with academic advisers to support the academic progress of the student-athlete. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor's degree Minimum of 3 years of related work experience and 3 years of playing experience required. Strong knowledge and experience within a high-level program and the ability to evaluate talent and recruit student-athletes that can be successful at Marquette. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Previous experience playing or working in a Division 1 program and playing at the professional level.
