Position Summary:

The Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach is responsible for leading and managing the varsity volleyball program while supporting the school's Catholic mission and values. The coach will develop student-athletes' volleyball skills, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and help cultivate leadership, confidence, and integrity in young women. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct effective practices that develop individual and team volleyball skills.
• Teach the fundamentals of volleyball, game strategies, and competitive preparation.
• Supervise and coach student-athletes during practices, matches, and tournaments.
• Promote sportsmanship, respect, discipline, and teamwork consistent with Catholic values.
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes.
• Support and reinforce the academic success and eligibility of all players.
• Foster leadership development and confidence in young women through athletics.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, assistant coaches, and school administration.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes during practices and competitions.
• Work with the Athletic Director regarding schedules, transportation, equipment, and program needs.
• Maintain and manage team equipment and uniforms.
• Follow all school, conference, and state athletic association policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous volleyball coaching or competitive playing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
• Ability to mentor and motivate high school student-athletes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to the mission of a Catholic, values-based education.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must pass all required background checks in accordance with school or diocesan policies

Working Environment:

• Ability to work some evenings and weekends as well as attend early morning meetings outside of regularly scheduled work hours.
• Assist with other administrative duties in school operations as needed.
• Must be able to tolerate noise.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must have correctable hearing and sight.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to work with all common office equipment.
