Position Summary:
The Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach is responsible for leading and managing the varsity volleyball program while supporting the school's Catholic mission and values. The coach will develop student-athletes' volleyball skills, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and help cultivate leadership, confidence, and integrity in young women. Key Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and conduct effective practices that develop individual and team volleyball skills.
- Teach the fundamentals of volleyball, game strategies, and competitive preparation.
- Supervise and coach student-athletes during practices, matches, and tournaments.
- Promote sportsmanship, respect, discipline, and teamwork consistent with Catholic values.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes.
- Support and reinforce the academic success and eligibility of all players.
- Foster leadership development and confidence in young women through athletics.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, assistant coaches, and school administration.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes during practices and competitions.
- Work with the Athletic Director regarding schedules, transportation, equipment, and program needs.
- Maintain and manage team equipment and uniforms.
- Follow all school, conference, and state athletic association policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous volleyball coaching or competitive playing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
- Ability to mentor and motivate high school student-athletes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to the mission of a Catholic, values-based education.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass all required background checks in accordance with school or diocesan policies

Working Environment:
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends as well as attend early morning meetings outside of regularly scheduled work hours.
- Assist with other administrative duties in school operations as needed.
- Must be able to tolerate noise.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must have correctable hearing and sight.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to work with all common office equipment.
