Company Overview The School District of Omro is a dedicated public school district serving students from 4K through Grade 12, including Early Childhood special needs programs. We are committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes growth, teamwork, and excellence. Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate High School Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach to lead our girls' basketball team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire student-athletes, develop their skills, and promote sportsmanship and teamwork within a vibrant school community. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in sports coaching, physical education, and working with high school students to motivate and guide our athletes toward success. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive training plans to enhance players' basketball skills, teamwork, and game strategies Lead practices, coordinate game schedules, and oversee team travel arrangements Foster a positive team environment emphasizing sportsmanship, discipline, and personal growth Monitor players' physical health and safety during practices and games, ensuring proper conditioning and injury prevention Collaborate with school staff on player development, behavior management, and academic support Organize team meetings, parent communications, and community engagement activities Promote school spirit through cheerleading support and encouraging student participation in related activities Qualifications Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster discipline and respect among student-athletes Ability to motivate high school students while maintaining a positive and energetic coaching style Will need to have CPR/First Aid Certification, Concussion Trainings, and other trainings required by the school district.
