Department of CRIT:
Troy, AL Job Summary The Lecturer in Counselor Education is a non tenure track instructional faculty position with primary responsibility for teaching graduate level coursework in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. The position supports delivery of the required 60 hour CACREP accredited curriculum and contributes to program quality, continuity, and compliance with accreditation standards. Primary responsibilities include teaching graduate courses in research, assessment, counseling theories, facilitation skills for individuals and groups, behavior pathology and diagnosis and treatment, as well as supervision of practicum and internship experiences. In accordance with University policy for lecturer appointments, the position also includes academic advisement, availability to students during scheduled office hours, participation in program and University service activities, engagement in ongoing professional development and appropriate scholarly activity, and the development and maintenance of professional and community partnerships relevant to counselor preparation. Minimum Qualifications Doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited university. Experience working as a Mental Health Counseling Professional. Eligible for LPC in State of Alabama.
