Assistant/Associate Professor

Job Summary The Assistant/Associate Professor position will teach aerospace engineering courses and conduct cutting edge, externally funded research. advise students, and serve on various departmental, college, and university committees. Essential Job Duties Develop curriculum and teach a cross section of undergraduate courses Develop and conduct a vigorous, externally funded research program Perform academic advisement Participate in university, school, departmental, and professional service activities Perform other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline Expertise in Aerodynamics, Space Mechanics, or Flight Mechanics/Automatic Flight Controls are preferred, but other areas of expertise may also be considered Physical Demands Ability to operate standard office equipment Ability to walk short distances Ability to lift and carry parcels, packages and other items Ability to view a computer terminal
