Summary of Job Duties:
The Department of World Languages invites applications for a full-time assistant professor in Spanish and Second Language Pedagogy. We envision a colleague who will contribute, through teaching, service, and research, to our commitment to student success and to our department's aspirational statement: "Let your vision be world-embracing." Primary responsibilities include teaching all levels of undergraduate Spanish language and culture as well as undergraduate courses in second language acquisition, methodology and assessment. The successful candidate will teach both in-person and online courses, for a total of 24 credits per year (12 per semester). This position reports to the Head of the World Languages Department.
Qualifications:
Required Education and/or
Work Experience:
Ph.D. in Spanish Language, Second Language Pedagogy or TESOL, or other related field Preferred Education and/or
Work Experience:
Experience working in higher education.
