Summary of Job Duties:
This position is for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Communication Disorders and Sciences with qualifications and professional background sufficient to teach courses in Communication Sciences and Disorders. An ideal candidate will be able to teach any courses in our undergraduate curriculum. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.Qualifications:
Required Education and/orExperience:
Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Audiology, or a very closely related field. Preferred Education and/orExperience:
Professional experience in the Communication Sciences and Disorders field; Teaching experience in multiple modalities (in person, hybrid, online); Experience mentoring or supervising students; A research agenda that allows for publication and funding; Experience working on and preparing funded research projects.Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for teaching Communication Sciences and Disorders courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats; Work positively with faculty, staff, students, and the community; Mentor students across the curriculum; Conduct and disseminate scholarly research; Serve the school, college, university, and community; Help with recruitment, retention, and program initiatives; Perform other duties as required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Commitment to teaching and mentoring students; Committed to remaining current in the area of expertise and instruction; Active research agenda in field of expertise; Collegial and establish good relationships with our external constituency.Additional Information:
