For complete position description and submission requirements, go to: Assistant Professor of Music-Vocal (Tenure-Track) Kansas Wesleyan University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position in the Department of Business and Accounting. We seek candidates to apply for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of General Business. The successful candidate will lead the university's vocal ensembles, a central component of its music tradition, while serving as a visible leader on campus and in the broader community. Provides dynamic, student-centered instruction, fosters strong community engagement, and actively recruits students to participate in ensemble programs. Key Responsibilities Deliver student-centered instruction, ensuring achievement of course learning outcomes while supporting student retention, persistence, and completion. Teach a full-time course load during the academic year. Lead recruitment efforts for assigned ensembles, including attracting new students and engaging current students to support retention. Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness and subject matter expertise. Contribute to departmental and university initiatives, including curriculum development, student recruitment, and participation in required events and meetings.
Qualifications:
Required:
Master's degree in field, qualified to teach undergraduate music courses.
Preferred:
PhD. Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college or university level and a commitment to liberal arts education. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students in a diverse environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
