Job Description

The School of Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities (SSAH) at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI), Morocco invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Public Relations and Media Studies within the Communication Program. Appointment is at the assistant or associate rank and will begin August 2026. We seek a dynamic scholar-teacher capable of contributing to undergraduate teaching in areas such as: Public Relations Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) Advertising Marketing and Public Communication Media Studies The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching within a liberal arts environment and contribute to the intellectual life of the program and the university. Qualifications Ph.D. in Public Relations, Integrated Marketing Communications, Communication Studies, or a closely related field. Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate level. Evidence of an active research agenda and scholarly productivity. Ability to contribute to curriculum development and university service. Appointments will be made at the the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, depending on qualifications and experience. About Al Akhawayn University Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI) is an English-language institution based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. Founded in 1995, the university offers undergraduate and graduate programs across three schools and serves a diverse student body from Morocco and around the world. AUI is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) and maintains strong international academic standards. Its schools also hold or pursue specialized accreditations from leading international bodies such as ABET, EFMD, and QAA. The School of Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities offers programs including Communication Studies, International Studies and Diplomacy, Psychology, and Human Resource Development, and contributes significantly to the university's interdisciplinary General Education program. The university is located in Ifrane, a scenic town in Morocco's Middle Atlas Mountains, approximately 45 minutes from the historic city of Fez.
