Los Angeles, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time 13 hours ago Qualifications Working with pediatric populations Anesthesiology Pediatric anesthesiology General anesthesia Procedural Sedation Full Job Description The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry, Department of Diagnostic Sciences, Anesthesiology, and Emergency Medicine is seeking candidates for a part-time dentist specialist position (50% FTE) in Anesthesiology and Emergency Medicine. Qualified candidates must have completed a minimum of three years in a dental anesthesiology residency accredited by the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology (ADBA) and the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and must have significant experience in providing sedation and general anesthesia for all types of dental surgery for adults and pediatric patients, including caring for patients with special healthcare needs and significant medical compromise. Preference will be given to candidates who are board certified or an active candidate for certification by the ABDA and must be eligible for licensure and pediatric endorsement for general anesthesia in California. Ideal candidates must demonstrate a strong desire to engage in didactic education and explore other educational opportunities, including healthcare simulation, with collaboration across the dental and medical disciplines. Primary responsibilities include providing anesthesia and sedation in support of patient care, as well as participating in clinical and didactic teaching across predoctoral and postgraduate programs.
