Job Description

The Yale School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Section of General Medicine. The position is based at Yale Internal Medicine Associates (YIMA), a highly collegial, premier academic adult primary care faculty practice. YIMA physicians practice at the top of their license, supported by an exceptional, highly coordinated team of advanced practice providers, nursing professionals, and administrative staff that streamlines care and reduces nonclinical burden. Primary responsibilities are management of a primary care panel of patients, conducting in-person clinic sessions as well as telehealth sessions, and administrative work associated with clinical practice. Teaching responsibilities include teaching of medical students and residents in the ambulatory practice setting. Up to 4 weeks of inpatient attending on a resident teaching firm at Yale-New Haven Hospital may be required. The position includes participation in YIMA on-call coverage, in regular collaborative meetings of the YIMA clinical team, and in the academic activities of the Section of General Internal Medicine. Opportunities exist for other educational and scholarly work depending on the interest of the faculty member. A Departmental incentive program is available. Review of applications will commence immediately and continue until the positions are filled. Applicants are asked to apply online: https://apply.interfolio.com/187944
