Salary Range :
$39,981-$58,448 (Based on level of degree and experience. Salary may be enhanced by supplemental teaching.)
Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Fulfill contractional obligations for full instructional load during fall and spring semesters. Provide excellence in instruction within the Mathematics Department for undergraduate students, including online courses as needed. Assist in development and evaluation of curriculum as appropriate. Utilize approved textbooks(s) and/or other instructional materials as approved. Collaborate with administration, faculty, and staff to ensure student success. Provide student guidance and support. Assigned Learning Commons Mathematics support as Other Professional Activities prior to the start of each term. Engage in institutional service, professional development, and other duties as assigned by the Department Chair of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the Dean of Arts and Sciences, and/or the Vice President of Academic Affairs. As a part of the college's risk management tool, annual mandatory compliance training is required. Assignments may be made at any location within the service territory and may require physical presence. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Minimum of a master's degree in mathematics or a master's degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in mathematics. Proficiency with teaching technologies, including lecture-capture software (e.g., Camtasia or Kaltura) and the instructional use of graphing calculators such as the TI-84 Plus. Demonstrated evidence of professional development growth through participation in continuing education and other related activities. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
An earned doctorate in mathematics or a related field with 18 graduate hours in mathematics preferred. Post-secondary teaching experience preferred. Demonstrated success with online teaching preferred. All degrees must be from a regionally-accredited postsecondary institution. This full-time 9-month position is eligible for continuing contract status and is contingent upon board approval and funding.
