Job Description
The USF Health Taneja College of Pharmacy (TCOP) is managed by the Dean and an actively engaged administrative leadership team. The PCR (Pharmacotherapeutics and Clinical Research) Department at the University of South Florida Taneja College of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, nontenure- track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in Ambulatory Care. Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
Prior experience as a clinical pharmacist at an ambulatory care clinic for at least two years. Must have strong record of research/publication, teaching, service, and clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior teaching experience in a Doctor of Pharmacy program. PGY 1 or PGY 2 training in Ambulatory Care. Candidates with joint degrees (MPH, MHA, MBA, etc.) in addition to a Pharm.
D. are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates with board certification from BPS, or other credentialing from an accredited body. This position will include primarily teaching (Didactic and Experiential) and clinical practice, research/scholarly activity, and service to the college and the profession, will be expected as time allows. Didactic teaching will be aligned with expertise. All clinical faculty must maintain a practice site suitable for experiential learning. The clinical responsibilities will focus on providing disease state management at a USF-based ambulatory care clinic. The faculty member will work closely with the interdisciplinary team and other ambulatory care pharmacists to strengthen clinical implementation, provide teaching and mentorship, and support the growth of new services. This position will report to the PCR Department Chair.
