Job Description

at University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, United States Job Description Description The Harris School of Public Policy invites applications for an Assistant Instructional Professor to expand its course offerings in macroeconomics, international trade, finance, and financial regulation. The position will be a two-year, renewable appointment. Qualifications for the appointment must include a demonstrated record of excellent teaching in relevant courses. Applicants must have teaching experience and have completed a Ph.D. by the start date in public policy, economics, business, finance, or related fields. The Assistant Instructional Professor will teach 4-6 courses per academic year, depending on non-classroom responsibilities. The anticipated start date will be on or after July 1, 2026. The terms and conditions of employment for this position are covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the University.
Salary Range or Pay Grade:
