The previously determined salary range for this position was $70,000 to $80,000. Job Summary:
The Research Assistant Professor will be responsible for performing and supervising high quality research work in the area of neurobiology of alcohol use disorder particularly in the area of epigenomics and genomics.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform work related to neuroscience of alcohol addiction and co-morbid psychiatric disorders. Train pre and postdoctoral fellows in epigenetic and genetic research. Publish high quality of research in epigenetics of alcohol use disorder. Serve as PI or co-investigators in NIH funded research. Collaborate other neuroscientists in the department and at UIC to promote collaborative research in neuroscience. Perform related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in a relevant area of neuroscience or molecular biology or biological sciences with experience in alcohol epigenetic and molecular research. Preferred Qualifications Experience with publishing on epigenome and transcriptomic approaches in AUD.
