Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses including experiential courses focused on public health practice and leadership, including areas such as epidemiology, health promotion, program planning and evaluation, and policy analysis. Utilize experiential learning methods by incorporating case studies, guest lectures from practitioners, and service-learning opportunities within communities. Instruction may also be provided in public health settings, in health departments or clinics, or settings that deliver public health services. Mentor and advise students, providing guidance on career paths in public health practice and leadership.- Service to
Profession/Clinical Practice:
Maintain a strong connection to current public health practice through ongoing collaborations with local and state health departments, community-based organizations, and other public health partners. Participate in applied research projects that address pressing public health issues . Provide technical assistance and consultation to public health practitioners. Develop and contribute to grant proposals to secure funding for initiatives focused on advancing public health. Contribute to the land-grant mission of the University through outreach and engagement efforts with community stakeholders.Service:
Serve on university and professional committees related to public health practice. Advocate for policies and programs that improve health outcomes for communities or populations.FACULTY WORKLOAD

SOURCE OF FUNDING
This position will be funded through extramural funding and contracts. Sources will also include non-recurring dollars and contracts with public health and healthcare organizations. For training and curriculum specific to public health practitioners, state-based funding may also be used. Statement onBenefits:
