Tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor

The Department of Neurology at LSU Health Shreveport invites applications for Clinician-Scientists and Scientists as full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center at Shreveport (LSUHS) is an academic medical center made up of the Schools of Medicine, School of Health Professions, and Graduate School. The mission of the Department of Neurology is not only to provide excellent and compassionate care for all patients with neurologic disease (Heal), educate the future generation of medical professionals in Neurology (Teach), but also to deliver cutting-edge basic, translational, and clinical research in Neurology (Discover). Under the leadership of the new Neurology Chair, Dr. Chen Lin, and the Vice Chair of Research at the Institute for Cerebrovascular and Neuroregeneration Research (ICNR), Dr. Quanguang Zhang, the department is experiencing rapid growth in research. Our faculty are engaged in cutting-edge studies spanning cerebrovascular, neurological, and neuroregenerative diseases, as well as pharmacological and non-invasive therapeutic approaches. These efforts aim to elucidate disease pathogenesis and drive the development of mechanistic insights and novel therapeutic strategies for brain disorders. Successful candidates will be expected to establish and sustain an independent, extramurally funded research program. Preference will be given to applicants with a strong record of scholarship and demonstrated expertise in neurobiology, neuroscience, or neurodegenerative diseases.
