Occasional travel to Tufts affiliated campuses surrounding Tufts Dental Facilities in MA.
Job Duties:
Reports to the Director of Dental Facilities for Persons with Special Needs, Department of Public Health and Community Service at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine Provides direct delivery of comprehensive care to patients with developmental disabilities and special needs in their assigned clinic(s). The care includes general dental procedures (restorations, extractions, fixed and removable appliances, periodontal therapy, endodontic therapy, etc.), providing support to dental hygienists practicing in the clinic(s) assigned, and radiology diagnostics for patients being seen in the outpatient clinic setting. Manage referrals in the clinical for patients that require treatment through hospital-based care in an operating room setting referrals to specialists outside the Tufts Dental Facilities Program and communications with patients and their advocates Provides didactic, preclinical and clinical teaching and pursue of scholarly endeavors at DMD level.
Requirements:
DDS/DMD degree or foreign equivalent degree One (1) year of dental experience. Experience can be gained through private dental practice as a dentist and/or dental education as faculty.
