$64,963•193,146 annually.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. from a regionally accredited institution with at least one degree in a field related to Construction Management plus three (3) years U.S. construction project management experience. United States construction project management experience is defined as experience in construction project management using processes, management practices, and equipment typically used in the U.S. or Canadian construction processes or Master's from a regionally accredited institution with at least one degree in a field related to Construction Management plus five (5) years U.S. construction project management experience. See above for definition of U.S. construction management experience Ability to teach CM coursework (topical content could include Estimating, Scheduling, Structures, Documents and Specifications, Construction Materials/Methods, Contractor QA/QC, Project Administration, Construction Graphics or Construction Cost Analysis) Candidates should have experience or working knowledge of construction related computer applications (i.e., Estimating (On Center), Scheduling (P6 or Project), Project Management (ProCore), CAD, Bluebeam, Revit, etc.). Ability to effectively deliver CM coursework through traditional lecture Ability to develop and deliver CM coursework online Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work successfully with students of diverse backgrounds, including sensitivity to their needs and concerns. Candidates are expected to assist CM program faculty recruiting new students and interacting with area high schools, technical and community colleges
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience at the University level Online teaching experience Construction related professional license or certification Record of publications and presentations Demonstrated ability to work with people in a team environment, either in a construction setting, management setting, or academic setting
Other Requirements:
The successful candidate must be able to lawfully accept employment in the United States by the day employment begins. Employment for this position is covered by the collective bargaining agreement for the Inter Faculty organization (IFO) which can be found at https://www.minnstate.edu/system/working/docs/contracts/ifo-contract.pdf. In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, faculty and staff driving on college/university business, who use a rental or state vehicle, shall be required to complete a vehicle Use Agreement form and conform to Minnesota State College and Universities vehicle use criteria and consent to a motor vehicle records check.
