Job Description

The Department of Economics at St. Olaf College invites applications for a full-time, one-year position at the Visiting Instructor or Assistant Professor level, to begin August 17, 2026. We seek candidates with experience and interest in teaching Trade, Development, and Gender, or a similar senior-level elective, along with Principles of Economics. The successful applicant would also teach an undergraduate elective course related to their field(s), which would be negotiated upon hire. An ability to teach urban economics is preferred for this position. Qualifications A Ph.D. in economics is preferred, though an ABD in economics with undergraduate teaching experience will receive full consideration.
