Children's Advocacy Center (CAC). The Tedi Bear clinic is within the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and provides child abuse education, evaluation, prevention, and treatment to eastern North Carolina's children, their families, and their communities. As a University based

CAC, TEDI BEAR

provides education not only to medical students and residents, but also to social work students and child life students, many of whom rotate through

TEDI BEAR CAC.

Child abuse duties would include both inpatient and outpatient evaluations of children, on-call, and teaching.

provides services to a 29 county region in rural eastern North Carolina and is an accredited member of the National Children's Alliance and a member of the Children's Advocacy Centers of North Carolina. Consultative forensic services are also provided at Maynard Children's Hospital, ECU Health Medical Center. Employment in this position provides eligibility to participate in the UNC Optional Retirement Program (ORP) which offers matching employer contributions and employee control of investment choices, along with eligibility to participate in various Voluntary Supplemental Retirement Plans (401k, 403b. 457). This position is not eligible to participate in the NC Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System (TSERS).
