Essential Job Duties The History Department is seeking applicants to teach as either a non-tenure track Lecturer or Teaching Assistant Professor, based on credentials and qualifications. In this role, you will help shape the student learning experience by planning, preparing, delivering, and evaluating instruction that fosters engagement, curiosity, and academic success. You will have the opportunity to design and teach your own course syllabi, bringing your expertise, scholarly perspective, and teaching strengths into the classroom while aligning with program goals. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, or weekend sections, depending on instructional needs, offering flexibility and variety in scheduling. Appointments may be offered on a per-course, short-term, and/or part-time basis for the 2026-2027 academic year, with the possibility of renewal based on departmental needs and performance. This is a pooled recruitment maintained to meet future instructional demand. All appointments are temporary and part-time, with opportunities that may arise throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. Other Responsibilities Faculty perform other duties as directed by the Department Head.Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Lecturer:
Requires master's degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience. Asst.Teaching Professor:
Requires doctor's degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience. Other Required Qualifications Strong commitment to excellence in teaching is expected. Preferred Qualifications PhD in History or related field.
