Description & Details:
The School of Nursing at North Dakota State University (NDSU) in Fargo invites applications and inquiries for a full-time Pre-Licensure Program Director/Faculty position (9-month academic year, with additional summer contract available) to support the pre-licensure nursing program. This position will begin as negotiated. We are seeking a dynamic educator and nursing leader with complementary experience in teaching, curriculum development, assessment, and faculty and student mentorship. The successful candidate will support the NDSU School of Nursing's commitment to excellence, inclusion, and preparing skilled, compassionate nursing professionals to meet the healthcare needs of North Dakota and the region. The NDSU School of Nursing offers CCNE-accredited bachelor's and doctoral programs designed to prepare practice-ready nurses and nurse leaders. As our programs continue to grow, we aim to expand our capacity to produce exceptional graduates who are well-equipped to serve diverse populations and address critical workforce needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES.
This 9-month, with additional summer contract position will provide leadership for the Pre-licensure program in Fargo; participate in admission and progression; manage curriculum of the prelicensure program; assessment and evaluation of the pre-licensure track; advising; assisting with recruitment and prospective students; new faculty orientation; assist the associate dean with faculty teaching assignments; develop class schedules; foster and encourage team building among faculty and staff; address and resolve student-related matters; work with associate dean to ensure compliance with Board of Nursing and CCNE accreditation standards, and assist with preparation of Board of Nursing and CCNE reports.
Hiring Range:
Salary is negotiable based on credentials and experience. Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • An unencumbered, active RN license and eligibility for licensure in ND OR current RN license and eligibility for licensing in the state of ND
  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Experience teaching in a BSN program
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Demonstrates success in building and sustaining collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders - including students, faculty, staff, administrators, and external partners
  • Effective communication skills with a demonstrated ability to lead through shared decision making and foster a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctoral Degree
  • Knowledge of nursing program accreditation standards
  • Experience working with healthcare partners
  • Experience in providing leadership in handling student-related issues
